How long before new moms want to have sex?

It's been 4 mo since my baby was born (somewhat traumatized by the episiotomy) and while I've had sex a few times, each time getting less painful and my body seems to be ready and willing, my mind isn't into it. I don't want to have sex. Should I see my doctor or just wait and see if my interest picks up? I'm breast feeding and supplementing, with no period yet.

First of all, this is normal, especially when breastfeeding. Wait until you finish nursing and regain period. ( the BABY is the one who benefits )
